June 22, Buddy Boshers.

Buddy Boshers, mound dipper.  His last name is pronounced "beau-shears".  I always figured it was baa-sures.  He threw 42 pitches in early relief and now watches from the dugout himself, top of the third, two out, two on, 7-0 CHW.  Boshers is a reliever for the Minnesota Twins, who sent Nik Turley out to start though he lasted not an inning. I saw Tommy Joseph homer off of Carlos Martinez this afternoon in Philadelphia.  I saw Paul de Jong make an error.  I heard the A's bridge their deficit to 12-9 after once trailing Houston 10-0.  Matt Belisle got the Twins out of the third on a Melky groundout, 3.

June 21, MileHigh HotCut.

At 7:48 central daylight you messaged me to let me know that today there would be a MileHigh HotCut.  I had to look again when first I looked and saw that Colorado had not been in a HotCut since May 14 because for a while there they were 'Cuttin it up (seven in April, five in May).  Visiting Coors Field tonight are Taijuan Walker and the Arizona Diamondbacks.  Colorado leads the NL West at 47-26, the Snakes are two games back at 44-27.  If the season ended today Arizona would be the "second" wildcard in the NL, the Cubs trailing that race by seven-and-a-half games. That game starts later on, at 19:40.  Before that are a boatload of day games.  I am now listening to the Nationals at the Marlins.  ScherZer has just recorded his fourth out, all by strikeout.  Straily, opposite him, has used his 91 m.p.h. fastball to great effect thus far, too.  Both Daniel Murphy and Ryan Zimmermann are sitting today for Washington.  Michael A. Taylor was a late scratch.  ScherZer nicks De

June 20, KC HotCut.

It's a KC HotCut but I can't be cleft of my Nats and Marlins.  I just rewound to confirm a Dusty Dip.  I've never seen him dip before.  Maybe that explains the toothpick (which I sighted earlier): he tries not to dip.  Its 6-3 Nats, top 6, one out, Realmuto on second with a double. This just in from the Washington Post :   Fearing Call to Bullpen, Dusty Dips in 6th . Gio G has been pitching well, muttering to himself.  Mike Maddux scoots out to the mound.  Tyler Moore will pinch-hit in the pitcher's spot.  Realmuto takes third, uncontested.  Moore, FO 6.

June 18, Houston HotCut Part II.

It is 19:50 central daylight .  You texted me the Houston HotCut Part II this morning.  I have been following the U.S. Open most of the afternoon day.  It is over and Sunday Night Baseball, aka the HotCut , is airing on 101.1 ESPN in University City, MO.  A pitch to Springer is down low.  Jon Sciambi and Chris Singleton are on the call.  Bregman back in upon a throw to first.  He singled. We listened to Cardinals at Orioles at we drove from Belleville to here at 13:45.  Lance Lynn was pitching.  That's about all I remember.  Piscotty homered, his second of the game.  There was a fielder's choice in this game, Bregman out at second.  A liner past Bogarts, Not That Derek Fisher stops at second, Springer is aboard.  Altuve now, the count goes to one-and-two. I hear catcalls and howls emanating from and echoing througout the Houston crowd.  A ball in the dirt, the count even.  David Price delivers outside, the count is full, the score even at one.  Ball four in the dirt loads
