May 25, Milwaukee HotCut: Robbie Ray Throws Baseball's Best Pitch.

You got the word to me at 4:36 central daylight, 2:36 pacific.  I wondered if you couldn't sleep or had to get up really early for work or happened to stay up late.  You are opening your branch and are indeed up early for work.  Looking up and down today's slate, which includes a boatload of early games, you opted for a Milwaukee HotCut.  Robbie Ray and the Arizona Diamondbacks will travel to Wisconsin to face Kyle "Permit Driver" Davies and the Milwaukee Brewers.  The D'Backs are 29-19, the Brewers are 25-21.  The game starts tonight at 19:10 central daylight. Losing It I have momentarily lost my verve for journaling baseball.  I had a cold; I have been trying to get work done outside, which has tired me.  I saw Matt Szczur get a 2-out RBI base hit just now.  Padres at Mets.  Rafael Montero went 3 IP, 3 ER, 87 pitches. Caution:  Permit Driver I've got the HotCut tuned in now.  Ray fans Villar.  AriZona got a run in the top half, I'm not sure how—

May 23, KerCut.

Today at 11:57 central daylight you suggested that there was no 'doubtybouty', it would be a KerCut tonight, live from Chavez Ravine.  Kershaw, at 7-2, will throw against the St. Louis Cardinals, who send Lance Lynn (4-2) to the mound. Tony Two Bags and Company Bag Bergmann The grounds crew is spreading Diamond Dry in the Capitol.  Anthony Rendon stands in, having hit a "soaring" 2-run home run earlier.  Kyle Seager smoothes in some Diamond Dry with his cleat.  Segura does the same at short.  Motter is at first.  Vogelbach was sent back to the minors recently. Anthony Rendon—aka Tony Two Bags—sends one to the wall for his 8th double.  I have a cold and I'm lying on my old futon listening to the Nats radio broadcast.  A Wieters single makes it 3-0.  He has a 10-game hitting streak.  Former Rockies draftee Christian Bergmann is on the mound for Seattle.  Their arms are mostly injured—Felix, Paxton, Smyly, Iwakuma.  Not Gallardo.  They're in no shape to be

May 22, .500Cut: Mike Trout Visits Tropicana Field.

At 10:30 central daylight my friend Ray sent me a text that said, "Today is a rare .500Cut." Mike Trout Gets a Shot B and I were just about to hit the road so I didn't investigate right then but I did think to myself, "I guess that means there are a couple of even-record teams playing each other."  Indeed, that is the case.  In a matter of moments J.C. Ramírez and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim will make their 2017 HotCut debut in St. Petersburg, Florida against Jake OdoriZzi and the Tampa Bay Rays.  I imagine that right now in the Angels clubhouse some down-on-his-luck beat blogger is asking Mike Trout, "So how does it feel to play in your first HotCut of the year?  Any truth to the rumor that you're miffed about having to wait nearly two months to appear in your first HotCut of the season?" Highland, Illinois native Jake OdoriZzi warms in the midst of a partially empty Tropicana Field.  Sodden echoes from the PA system give the place a c
