Juy 31, Texas HotCut

You didn't have any word of a trade but at 9:40 central daylight you did break some news:  Texas HotCut.

There was one early game, Braves at Phillies.  The Phillies led comfortably until late.  I remember Phillies radio man Larry Andersen talking about precisely how he eats McDonald's Surf and Turf: you take a bite of the Big Mac, chew that up a little bit, you get a fry, chew that up a little, then you take a bite of the Filet-0-Fish.  Neris was over twenty pitches in the ninth with the tying run (his) on third.  He threw two innings Saturday, one Sunday, and he dragged his arm along with him to and from the mound to complete one more today.  The Phillies will head out on a road trip, starting in Colorado on Tuesday.  The Braves will be glad to get back home after being swept by the Phillies to conclude a 12-game road sojourn.

Royals at Orioles.  Cain took third, unopposed.  Hosmer, hitting .321 all of a sudden, cracks his 21st double on a pitch up and away.  Cain scores.  Royals 1 - Orioles 0.  Sal PĂ©rez, 4.  Ubaldo touched early.  What of Danny Duffy?

Jones, 8.  Not Andruw, but Adam, though I heard someone refer to him briefly recently as Andruw and then catch herself, it could have been Suzyn.  It was nice to get a reference to The Godhead.  Manny doubles.  Schoop, 8.  Machado gets thrown out trying to move up to third on a wild pitch.  Moustakas never tagged him but there was no challenge.  We're getting Arlington, TX and Rochester, NY commercials.  Confounding.

A shot of Chaw Boy on first.  "Get that ping pong ball out of your mouth, buddy."
