September 18, BronxCut: Aroldis Hits 104.

You are here for Kershaw and a BronxCut.  Chris Taylor hit an inside-the-park home run.  Then Justin Turner pounded a Nick Pivetta cement-mixing junkball to left.  Pivetta then tightened up, getting Bellinger, Puig and Granderson.

Aaron Judge hit number 44 off of Ervin Santana.  Sánchez goes 8.  Frank Ocean is playing.  Chocos.  Beers.  CraZy Bowls and Wraps in the fridge. Didi, 7.  After one inning, the Yankees lead 1-0.

Aaron Altherr Loses One

It was a blast, a grand slam off Kershaw.  We have the volume on low and are talking and still we could hear the crack of the bat.

"That sounded like a disturbance in the force," you said.

"I think you should Google if Kershaw is vegan," said B.

Duffey Has the 8th

It's 2-1 Yanks.  In the top half, Betances loaded the bases.  As you said, "The only out he got, they gave him."  Chapman came in, struck Mauer out on three pitches and then got Buxton, 9, on one.  Duffey has two outs on five pitches.  Here's Ellsbury, his OBP a surprising .356.  He has a single tonight, an intentional walk and a stolen base.  Two bad swings now, you say.  A high chopper that Duffey tries to gather on a short hop but can't, Ellsbury is aboard.

"I think he heard some footsteps as well," you say.  "That should have been an error."

Todd FraZier fouls a fastball back.  On the next pitch Ellsbury is running.  The call on the field was out.  "That was not a good tag," you say.  He looked safe on replay.  It took the review crew a while in New York but they got the call right and Ellsbury had his second bag of the night.

Aroldis

The 'Cut ends at 104 mph.  Eduardo Escobar had fouled back 103.  Chapman is throwing gas again.  The Yankees have beaten the Twins 2-1 in a BronxCut.  To Baltimore, where it's tied at eight in the 9th.

Miguel Castro Loves Late Baseball

He looks good here in the tenth.  Moreland gave that a ride but 7.  Castro froze the first batter with outside heat to get the first out of the inning.  This is Rajai Davis, the answer to trivia earlier tonight.  Kimbrel was nasty in the last of the ninth.  Castro looks sharp now.
